International Day: The Galapagos Islands

International Day at our school is just around the corner. Our class has chosen to study the Galapagos Islands.

These islands have many cool features that are unique to them. Our EA. Mrs. Davis has been building their excitement with stories and books. She is also working on an amazing and creative scene outside our classroom door.

Each student will research an animal that is indigenous to the Galapagos and their work will also be displayed.

Stay tuned for some pretty cool information and pictures headed your way!

Because of Winn-Dixie Characters: Otis

I like Otis. He is cool and smart. He works at a pet shop called Gertrude's pets. One time he got his guitar and sang to the pets. That was awesome.

3rd week already?!

Wow! The week went by so quickly that we only took 1 picture!

The boys celebrating Damian's birthday.

Our beans are growing beautifully and we'll be sure to post some pictures next week!

We are enjoying Because of Winn-Dixie.  It is a story of a lonely girl and the dog she rescued from a Winn-Dixie, who she named Winn-Dixie, quickly becoming best friends.

Look out at the end of the month for our Perseverance Award winner. This student will have exhibited impeccable strength in work ethic and maintaining a positive attitude.

Also, next week, each student will write a blog post detailing their lives, goals and intentions.

I am so proud of our students. Their respect and grace to those around them astound and humble me daily.

Have a great weekend - let's all soak in the last month of summer!
